APPARENTLY, I'M GETTING FAT!

It's all downhill from now on.  I've already got the grey whiskers, the ability to clear a room faster than anyone I know and now I am being told I am getting porky and I am being put on short rations.  It's a dog's life!

Heaven knows I do my bit.  I still entertain by lugging my rubber tyre round the office in case any one is interested in a game of tag.  I never cease to enjoy chewing my own lead (when SHE's not looking) and I can smell tea and biccy time without the need of a clock.

If I'm honest I have noticed that on her running mornings when I've lapped the park with her, it does take a bit more out of me than I remember.  But gracious, what a good sleep I then have for the rest of the day.  Mind you the rain and the long grass combo on Monday resulted in me being tied to kitchen table leg while she dolled herself up - seemingly, my wet body was not welcome in her boudoir!

Wish I could report I had caught a few thiefs or vagabonds but the truth is, even the postman, doesn't seem as suspicious as he once did.

Well, that's it for now, but just think of me when you are scoffing your daily breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and I'm expected to keep body and soul together on dinner and a measly snack.  Actually, I think it's a human's life!

EVEN MORE SUCCESS..................

We've just heard we have won the mega-competitive pitch for Lemsip - terrific news, well done team.  Working already with Reckitt Benckiser on Clearasil we were determined we weren't going to let this baby slip through our hands!

CONGRATULATIONS BEX!

Well done Bex! As Head of the newly formed SPA Way Public Affairs Unit, she has had her first independent success in a competitive pitch.  The appointment by Proudfoot Consulting, the global specialist consulting firm with offices on five continents, is to write its Annual Productivity Report which will be promoted across the world.  Fabulous news.

BYE-BYE GEMMA

After months of pain borne with the most extraordinary bravery, Gemma has decided to take a break from her career and try and give her back a chance to heal.  We are going to miss her and her amazing cheerfulness and fortitude.  We all wish her the very, very best but she leaves in the certain knowledge that the door will always be open for her in the future.

DON'T YOU JUST DESPISE HIM

ROB - REVEAL YOURSELF!

I am sure I speak for Mel as well when I say thank you Rob for your kind comments on the blog about our competitive dieting - BUT WHO ARE YOU?

ANNOYING........!!

The really annoying thing about blogging (or at least the way I do it) is that the last post comes first - this is not intended.  Our incidental activities at the hotel we all stayed at for Laura's wedding is certainly not more important than the main event...............so please read the following in reverse order.  Also, the same entry with a picture and a half is simply me confused why the blog arbitrarily edited out Soph and Mel and republishing it with us all in, albeit a little off-centre!

Ruth ...........H-E-L-P!!!

THE MORNING AFTER!

After a long day which included one of our party driving to the Compleat Angler at Henley (when in fact it is at Marlow!) - ME - some bedroom hopping and finally a night's sleep, we all regrouped for a fat girl's breakfast at 9am.

Picture_401_2 (the charming name of my room!)

However, I am happy to report it wasn't our free range, happy holidaying pork snarler from cold comfort farm that set the kitchen alight.  Nevertheless we all had to evacuate to the car park to watch the fire engine arrive.  A least none of us were caught looking sheepish in our towelling robes.

A fitting end to another great SPA road trip.

THE WEDDING OF THE YEAR - DOESN'T SHE LOOK BEAUTIFUL AND HAPPY

It was lovely to see Laura Holford-Walker walk up the aisle to meet Rick and to walk down as Mr & Mrs SmithA wonderful wedding with great hymns, a fantastic reception with wall to wall Pol Roger champagne and glorious flower arrangementsIt may have been a little unseasonal for the longest day but it didn't a matter a jot for the happy couple or all the guests. As I write she will be ploughing across the midnight sky heading for a safari in the Masai Mara - much love and lifelong happiness to you both.
